Nutritionist · Version of 04 November 2026

  1. Who runs it. Nutritionist is a calorie and nutrition tracker run by a private person, the site owner. For any question about your data, write to [email protected].
  2. What we get from Google. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, whether Google has verified it, and your Google account ID. We use them only to sign you in and to keep your data under your account. We don't store your Google name or profile photo, we don't ask for access to anything else in your Google account, and we never sell this data, use it for advertising or share it except as this policy describes. Nutritionist's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  3. What you store. What you log: foods, meals, entries (with the text and photos you add), body readings (weight, blood pressure, blood sugar and the others), workouts, goals and settings, and the optional about-you details (gender, birth year and month, height, health conditions and eating preferences). AI keys you add are stored encrypted.
  4. When you use the site. To keep you signed in, each session records your browser and device type, the first part of your network address, and when it was last used. The site notes which days you visited and counts your AI uses. The server's technical logs record requests without your email.
  5. Where it goes. Your data is stored on this site's server and with cloud service providers that host, back up and process it for the site, including an AI service that reads the text and photos you log, with the foods and recent entries that help read them. Your body readings, about-you details and goals are never sent to it. Some of these services' terms may let them use what they are sent to improve their services. These providers handle the data only to run the site, and may do so in other countries. Searching for a food sends only the words you type to the USDA's food database. Foods you pick from it join a catalog everyone searches, with nothing about you. Nothing is sold or used for advertising.
  6. Cookies. Only what signing in needs: a session cookie, and a short-lived one while you sign in with Google. There are no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies.
  7. How long it is kept. Your account and everything you log are kept until you delete them or your account is deleted. A session ends after 72 hours without use, and after 14 days at most. Every Review the AI reads is kept as a test case to measure and improve the app's accuracy, for 180 days at most (your newest 200). The record of the days you visited is kept for 90 days. Backups keep old versions for 90 days.
  8. Your choices. You can export all of your data at any time in Settings. To delete your account and everything in it, write to [email protected]; backups of it expire within 90 days. You can also remove Nutritionist's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  9. Security. The site is served only over HTTPS, AI keys are encrypted, and only the site owner can reach the server and its backups. No way of storing data is perfectly safe.
  10. Children. Nutritionist isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
  11. Changes. This page shows the date of its latest version. The user agreement, which you accept before using the app, says what is stored and where it goes in more detail.
